Prior to having the VisionRacer on test, we had some fantastic kit from Fanatec in our store to test and demonstrate. The only reason its not here now, is that we needed the room for the VisionRacers….trust me, these little beauties will be back out soon!

The RennSport started life as a step up from desktop controls - something that you can use whilst sitting on a couch, and if you imagine the life cycle of man, we start with a keyboard & mouse, move to Joysticks/Steering wheels, then evolve to RennSport - and finally to VisionRacer.
The RennSport frame is solid (as with all German Engineering) and does the job. The product isn’t in the same league as VisionRacer, and the price reflects this. Its a solid piece of entertainment for playing games ‘in the comfort of your own chair’ as you dont need a table to connect everything to - just your console, the couch and one of these!.
The advantage of the RennSport stand is that it doesn’t take up much room, and you can use your existing soft to get something comfortable. The Pedals fit in snugly, and with the Logitech G25 your’ away!
If you haven’t got a spare room for VisionRacer - you need one of these! A real plus is that it is easy to pack away, whilst being rock solid - being made out of aluminum, this really helps.

The CockPit continues with the manufacture philosophy of the WheelStand - solid Aluminum construction, and the seating is made out of fibreglass. The advantage of the CockPit over the VisionRacer is that it supports 3 monitors (24”) out of the box - or one 37” display. From an audio perspective, we liked the inbuilt 5.1 surround sound. If you are playing games, then you have to have a good sound system and layout of speakers - the cockpit has this.
We really found a balance between the CockPit and the VisionRacer, British engineering vs German, and maybe the investment may swing it for you….
Here’s a thought - buy a VisionRacer and a Fanatec Cockpit and race against each other, Aston Martin vs BMW - LOL.
